Geelong Weddings Video Services and Louisa Jones Photography are teaming up with a Photo-Video Package.

“I’ve always wanted to team up with a videographer to offer all in one packages for my couples as I believe it makes it easier for the couple to liaise with one vendor rather than two,” explains photographer Louisa Jones. “Having the photographer and videographer work as a team helps your day run smoothly for everyone involved. Nicole and the team from Geelong Weddings Video contacted me with such a proposal and an instant bond was formed.”

“To start off our working relationship we decided to collaborate on a styled shoot set at the gorgeous Manor Suite Wine Bar at Oakdene Vineyards on the Bellarine.

We pulled together a talented and fabulous group of local wedding vendors and actor/models and spent the day setting up different wedding scenarios across the venue.”

“Much like a real wedding, we had an early start with our models straight into hair and makeup. Jessica from Jessica Kate Makeup did the makeup for our models Emma and Lily whilst Emily from Emily McGrath Makeup Artist did Sarah’s makeup. Kirra Baumgart from Gloss & Glow did all our model’s hair.“

“All the stunning bride’s and bridesmaid’s gowns were provided by Bernice Fashions along with accessories and the grooms and groomsmen wore Peggy & Finn original ties, bow ties and pocket squares.”

“There are so many beautiful locations and photo spots at Oakdene and we started with a traditional outdoor wedding setting on the front gardens under a spreading tree. Chris Badrock from Blooms Rock created a stunning floral piece up the side of the tree to make a unique backdrop. We wanted to capture all the aspects of a real wedding and had Laura of Laura Kate Events as our celebrant for the day.”

“We then moved on to the rustic train shed for our second ceremony set up. The train shed is a cute, sheltered alternate location for ceremonies at Oakdene for couples who prefer something a bit different. Chris Badrock outdid herself again with another floral piece, this time helping show off the old piano as the centrepiece.”

“We had two setups at the train shed one of which included a same sex pairing. All our vendors are LGBTQIA+ friendly and felt it was important for prospective couples to see what their wedding could look like and know they’re amongst friends.”

“After our ‘ceremonies’ were finished we made use of the gorgeous little winter forest with sun streaming through the branches for some wonderful photo opportunities. The cute little window and rustic doors brought a light, airy and fun component to more photos.”

“Moving on, we set up in the lounge area of the Manor Suite Wine Bar. Very chic! We took some dramatic posed shots in a Vanity Fair style. As a finale, we took footage of dancing and champagne pops in the enchanted garden at sunset with the festoon lights creating a truly magical atmosphere, showing just what a reception at the Manor Suite Wine Bar looks like.”

Nicole and Louisa would like to thank all the incredible vendors and actor/models who helped! They highly recommend each of their vendors and look forward to working with them on another wedding sometime soon.
