Where are you based?
In the heart of Torquay in an inviting and private home studio where each client gets the luxury of a one-on-one hair experience.
Specialising in bridal hairstyling and blondes, I use high-quality hair products to protect your hair’s health while achieving all your on-trend and future-proof hair dreams.

What qualifications/training do you have?
My qualifications include Certificate 2 & 3 in Hairdressing and extensive extra training for hairstyling. I completed the industry-standard 3-year apprenticeship fresh out of high school. I learnt and grew so much in my studies. I wouldn’t be where I am today in my career without the knowledge, motivation and insight I learnt during my apprenticeship and further studies.

Do you travel for weddings and is there a travel fee?
Yes, of course, all wedding venues differ as does the location in which the bride spends all-important glam time. This allows me to optimise my services for them, eliminating extra travel time to keep this for the more important things. In saying this, a travel fee is required for my out-of-salon services to cover my travel time, petrol costs, etc.

Do you offer mobile hair services?
I do offer mobile hairstyling services for bridal parties, however within the peak wedding season I do have a minimum out-of-salon requirement. I unfortunately do not offer any mobile hair colouring services. Please note, that mobile services are a tailored solution. All enquiries are accepted, however I cannot guarantee availability.

Do you offer hair trials before the day? If so, is there an additional cost?
Yes, hair trials/previews are included in all of our wedding packages but not mandatory. I do highly recommend doing a trial as this allows us to meet before your wedding day, chat about your wedding details and then trial your desired hairstyle/multiple styles if needed to make sure it’ll be perfect for the day.

Do you work alone or work with a team?
Gloss & Glow services are predominantly provided by myself. However, during peak seasons, there are Gloss & Glow hair fairies that can assist.

What products do you use?
For bridal styling, I cannot go past my all-time favourite range KYK Haircare, in particular  Get Styling Hairspray, Magic Dust and their new product, Kreamed. For shampoo and conditioner, I personally use and also stock, Davroe. They are an Australian-made brand, cruelty free and vegan and also at a great price point so affordable for everyone.

How would you describe your style?
My style is timeless – with impact. I spend countless hours behind the scenes attending training sessions, practicing on models and mannequins that has allowed me to develop a style that is unique to me. I have a passion for editorial photo shoots and love to push the bounds of the ‘norms’ with my styles.

What motivates you to do what you do?
My motivation comes from my brides, my clients, and everyone I style. When each style is completed and my client sees their results, I’m motivated.

What is your advice to brides-to-be to achieve their perfect hair style?

  1. Planning – Enquire to chat about your hair expectations so I can guide you on the best way to achieve it.
  2. Your perfect hairstyle is created from how you normally wear your hair – but an elevated version. Feeling yourself (and comfortable) is the priority to ensure you have the bridal hairstyle of your dreams.
