Briana and Robbie’s wedding was a celebration marked by elegance, joy and cherished moments shared with family and friends. Their story began in Geelong at Two Chambers nightclub, where a tipsy friend’s playful push led to a spilled drink, shared laughter and a night of dancing that sealed their connection.
After six years together, Robbie’s proposal took Briana by complete surprise. On April 20, 2023, during a getaway at their family holiday house in Phillip Island, he found the perfect moment by the pier. Overlooking the water, Robbie knelt down and asked Briana to marry him. “It was so simple, yet so perfect,” recalls Briana. “I’ve dreamt of a moment like that my whole life.”
Planning their wedding at Mt Duneed was a seamless experience for Briana, who had envisioned a day of effortless elegance. “We loved the winery vibe for the ceremony and the timeless black-and-white theme for the reception,” she shares. The couple’s sophisticated-yet-relaxed style was reflected in every detail, from the black bridesmaids’ dresses and groomsmen’s suits to the soft candlelit décor and white floral arrangements.

“I wanted something fitted at the top with a flowy skirt – classic yet not over the top,” explains Briana. Robbie complemented her look with a sharp black suit, bow tie and polished shoes, effortlessly embodying the timeless aesthetic they both admired.
Their wedding day welcomed 158 guests, creating an atmosphere that was intimate yet vibrant. Briana fondly recalls their grand entrance into the reception. “Walking in as husband and wife, surrounded by everyone we love was surreal. It felt like stepping into the next chapter of our lives.” The night was filled with laughter, delicious food and nonstop dancing, perfectly capturing their vision of a relaxed and fun celebration.
For the couple, having all their loved ones together was the most important part of the day. They credit their venue coordinator, Jacqui, for ensuring everything ran smoothly. “She made sure we stayed present, ate, and enjoyed every moment,” adds Briana.
Their advice to newly-engaged couples? “Plan early, stay true to what makes you happy and don’t stress over the small details. Your wedding is about celebrating your journey – make it uniquely yours.”
