CHLOE + WILLIAM

PHOTOGRAPHY   |  CHAMORE CREATIONS

Chloe and William were great friends before falling in love, this being one of the reasons why their relationship works so well. They met at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in 2016 after an obstacle course. Billy liked that Chloe could kick the footy, although she ended up with a bright red foot as she wasn’t wearing shoes. During the camp they were just friends but the messaging didn’t stop and they ended up moving in together a few months later.

Billy proposed to Chloe on Christmas morning 2021, tying the ring around their dog Ralph’s collar and sending him to his future wife who at that moment was sitting on the back decking. Billy knew that Chloe’s favourite day of the year is Christmas Day and he could not have chosen a better time to get down on one knee. Later they met with family and friends and gave them the good news – the reactions were priceless.

The wedding planning process lasted about 13 months and started with choosing the venue. Chloe wanted something close to home, relaxed but also classy, and Baie Wines on the Bellarine fit the bill straight away. Next they booked the essentials – photographer (Chamore Creations), music (Baker Boys), catering (Lady & The Fox Catering and Events) and finding a dress (SoHo Bride). The couple spent most of their budget on photography and videography, music and catering, which all provided excellent value for money.

The dress was different from what Chloe had in mind and she ended up choosing a gown that she had tried just for fun, but everyone loved – the bride, her mum and the maid of honour. It had a relaxed style with sweet puff sleeves and a deep V neck with an open back. Chloe loved the dress’s flattering style and the fact that it had pockets.

The 128-guest wedding had a black and white base with bright flowers for some pop. Bridesmaids and groomsmen were also dressed in black but had pink bouquets and buttonholes. The interior of the venue had a similar style – white signage, white table cloths and napkins with assorted flowers in assorted clear vases down the middle of the table. Deciding flowers was a very easy process as Chloe only had to give minimal instructions – the talented staff at As Daisy Does sorted it all out. The couple was very relaxed through the whole process until about a month before, when the stress kicked in a little.

The wedding had more than just one memorable moment as everything went smoothly – getting ready in the morning, speeches, the moves on the dancefloor, and their golden hour photos. Everything was great until the last moment, when the night ended with the last song, bride and groom up on friends’ shoulders and celebrating with everyone.

Chloe and William have enjoyed the perfect wedding, so they have the following pieces of advice for engaged couples: getting quality video footage to be able to re-live the big day, not leaving too many tasks for the last week and being relaxed because vendors know what they are doing and have the couples’ best interests in mind. One special trick? Have a massage before the wedding – it’s totally worth it.
