Emmaleigh and Lachlan’s love story began more than eight years ago at work, where a close friendship gradually blossomed into something more. Years of light-hearted banter and shared office moments laid the foundation for their relationship and eventually Lachlan made his move.

“I think having a friendship before dating makes it feel like we have already been together for a lifetime,” reflects Emmaleigh.

The proposal took place November 2024 at a beautiful property just outside Winchelsea. Emmaleigh had a feeling the engagement might happen during the weekend away but Lachlan cleverly misled her by suggesting they were heading somewhere entirely different.

When she noticed he was driving in another direction, her curiosity quickly grew. As soon as he asked her to close her eyes however, everything became clear. A pathway lined with candles and flowers led to the end of a porch overlooking the mountains where their song played softly in the background as Lachlan got down on one knee. Unknown to Emmaleigh, he had spent months planning the proposal with the help of his sister and her partner who were waiting nearby to witness the moment.

The wedding, attended by approximately 125 guests, was a seamless blend of elegance and timeless style. Planning was a collaborative effort – Emmaleigh directed the creative vision while Lachlan oversaw the budget, ensuring every detail aligned with their shared aspirations. Early booking of vendors allowed the couple to approach the months leading up to the celebration with calm confidence, keeping stress to a minimum.
