Their love story began at Lamby’s, where the couple met while celebrating separate birthdays. “Ned and I met at Lamby’s. Ned was out celebrating his brother’s birthday and I was out celebrating my friend’s birthday. We were introduced to each other through a mutual friend, to which we hit it off instantly,” recalls Daniel. The connection was immediate and after matching on Tinder the next day, their first date followed shortly, marking the start of a journey.

The proposal was a quiet, tender moment away from the public eye. While planning a hot air balloon ride in Daylesford, Daniel decided to propose on a serene lakeside pier instead. “To Ned’s surprise when he turned around, I was there with the ring in hand and asked him to be my husband,” shares Daniel. This thoughtful, personal approach set the tone for the wedding itself – a celebration deeply reflective of the couple’s personalities.

The ceremony and reception were held at The Warehouse in Geelong, a venue chosen for its natural light, intimate atmosphere and versatile aesthetic. With a guest list of 104, Ned and Daniel curated a day that reflected their love for simplicity and elegance. They opted for a monochrome palette, keeping floral arrangements minimal and using single white roses and a striking arrangement at the end of the aisle.
