SARAH + JORDAN

Sarah and Jordan’s first encounter was at the gym. Sarah joined a group fitness class where Jordan was one of the trainers who assisted. When Jordan first saw Sarah he said to himself “I’m going to marry that girl” and he sure did that. Jordan started by asking Sarah out and she first rejected him but a matter of weeks later Sarah couldn’t say no again.

Jordan purchased the ring with his mum in Melbourne and pre-planned to have a picnic at the beach. However they went into a snap Covid-19 lockdown and Jordan had to madly plan to propose that day. Jordan asked Sarah’s mum if she could meet him at the beach with Binky their puppy, as Jordan and Sarah were having their tax done. Afterwards Jordan drove to the beach and Sarah delayed this by stopping for takeaway chips and wanting to look at houses on the way. Jordan was worried that Sarah’s mum would be at the beach before they got there and Sarah would catch on.

Once at the beach, Jordan wanted to go for a walk and Sarah didn’t because she didn’t have beach-appropriate shoes on but finally agreed to walk a short distance. Halfway there, Jordan ran back to the car for his phone but was actually going for the ring which he had hidden in the tyre well of his car. Jordan grabbed the ring and Binky who was with Sarah’s mum during this time.

Meanwhile, Sarah had hidden in a bush to jump out and scare Jordan. Once Sarah saw Binky, she questioned how Binky got there and knew something was up. Sarah then proceeded to walk along the beach when Jordan got down on one knee to propose as Sarah’s mum filmed it.

Although Sarah and Jordan enjoyed their wedding planning, the process was very stressful at times because they had decided to invite 95 guests. The couple started planning the wedding 18 months in advance to ensure it was everything they wanted. They originally wanted to have the reception at their house but had to change to Plan B as their house hadn’t finished being built.
