Stephanie and George met at university in 2012, where George was studying engineering and Steph was in her second year of dentistry. It was love at first sight across the nightclub dance floor.

George had planned the proposal for early 2020, having designed the engagement ring with The Diamond Guys; however, COVID restrictions were starting to shut down his proposal plans. He took the opportunity of the annual Easter Sunday egg hunt to leave extravagant clues that led Steph to find him down on one knee.

The wedding planning process was quick and they booked the venue three months out. Doing so is not something they would necessarily recommend to others, but only having a few vendors available for the date made the decision making process easier in some ways. Stephanie and George had quite a clear vision of wanting a big party (90 guests) at a large private country homestead with accommodation and tried not to worry about the small details.

In terms of style inspiration, the couple took most of their cues from the beautiful country elegance of Woolbrook and stuck mostly to a classic black and white colour palate. When it came to the florals, Steph’s love for flowers took over with seasonal bright blooms in large displays.

George wore a classic white dinner jacket and Steph wore an off-the-shoulder asymmetrical gown from Rachel Gilbert with a long train and veil. The bridal party wore black with white flowers. Steph danced the night away in a feathered mini from Elliatt.
