TEAGAN + RYAN

Teagan and Ryan’s story is a delightful journey that began in high school where they fostered a deep friendship that evolved into something more when they reached their early twenties. Their connection was marked by spontaneity with chance encounters shaping their post-school years.

Ryan’s Christmas Day proposal in 2021 was a delightful surprise, shunning grandiosity for simplicity. The engagement ring, nestled in a shoebox surrounded by flowers, came with a note that turned a casual present exchange into a life-changing moment. Teagan’s keen eye had previously noticed a missing Gucci shoebox, unwittingly hinting at the impending proposal.

The wedding planning process kicked off promptly with Teagan’s vision of a beautiful property and marquee reception taking shape. The stars aligned as they discovered Woolbrook Homestead, securing their preferred date in February 2023, coinciding with their anniversary. Teagan entrusted the planning to Jess from Pop Up with Style, making the process seamless and enjoyable.

The vibrant and elegant wedding, attended by 80 close friends and family, reflected Teagan and Ryan’s dynamic personalities. The colour palette of reds, pinks and creams, along with disco balls and neon signage, showcased their fun-loving nature. Every detail, from signage to menus, bore personal touches, incorporating words and lyrics that resonated with the couple.

Teagan’s dress, the first she tried on from Jane Hill, was a perfect reflection of her unique style. The groomsmen sported cream jackets sans ties, ensuring comfort and complementing the vibrant flowers. The bridesmaids, initially planned for pink attire, stunningly wore black, harmonising with the chosen colour palette.

Among the many memorable moments, the wedding entertainment by Andrew Loadsman stood out as one of the best investments. The lead-up moments with the bridesmaids and a quiet post-ceremony interlude with Ryan added to the day’s magic. Their primary goal was to ensure their guests had a great time, offering fantastic food, music and drinks to celebrate their love.

Teagan’s advice for future couples is to savour every moment and budget for a videographer. The wedding day, though fleeting, can be relived through captured memories. Ultimately, their celebration aimed to provide guests with a memorable experience encapsulating the essence of Teagan and Ryan’s love story.
